An allergy is a specific reaction of the immune system to normally harmless substances called Allergens. The body mistakenly believes the allergen is harmful and responds to the false alarm by producing an antibody (a disease fighting protein) to attack the invader.

When the allergen encounters the antibody it signals the cell to release powerful inflammatory chemicals like histamine, cytokines and leukotrienes. These chemicals act on tissues in various parts of the body, such as the respiratory system, and cause the symptoms of allergy.

Allergens that cause allergic reactions include pollens, dust particles, dust mites, mold and fungus spores, food or medicines. Millions of people in North America are allergic to "house dust". House dust is a mixture of potentially allergenic materials.

MITEE CLEAN® residential and commercial dust mite mattress cleaning service removes dust mites and their harmful allergens making your sleeping environment MIGHTY CLEAN.

Dust mites and their waste products make up a large percentage of the allergic component in house dust. Dust mite symptoms are very similar to pollen allergy symptoms. Dust mites allergens can also produce asthma.

Dust mites live in bedding, upholstered furniture and carpets. The good news is that dust mites don't bite people. Their diet consists of the 50 million flakes of dead skin that are shed from our bodies each and every day.

Inside your home, about 40 pounds of dust is generated per 1500 square feet per year.
